A continuation of the Botanical Illustration course, the previous class is not a requirement. Botanical observation,perspective, color, & composition will be emphasized. Basic supply list at time of registration. Additional supplies available during studio time.
Cost: $100
Instructor: Drawing & painting since she could hold a pencil & brush. Schneider's works have been shown at the National Academy of Design in NYC, Cabarrus County Arts Council, along with Wing Haven. She has taught at CPCC, Wing Haven, Jewish Center, & Daniel Stowe Botanical Gardens in Belmont.
She enjoys working with all ages & levels to develop individual response to the world around them.

Experiments In Watercolor Collage
3-Day Workshop

Ages: 18 +
A 3-day workshop in watercolor involving Japanese papers & collage techniques. Learn to color papers with water. Color, paint, tear, cut and apply to watercolor paper. Landscape, floral or still life explored. Composition, color and value will be discussed. Workshop includes demonstration, student work time, individual instruction and critiques on last day of workshop.
Cost: $290
Instructor: Award-wining artist and one of CFA's represented artists,Sandy Siepert has been painting in watercolor for 29 years. She took her first watercolor class in Houston, Texas, in 1983, and has been learning ever since. She has studied with Judy Greenberg, Barbara Jeffery Clay, Jerry Stitt, Jean Grastorf, Charles Reid, Tom Lynch, and several regional artists.
She is a signature member of the Watercolor Society of North Carolina, the Guild of Charlotte Artists, and Watercolor Artists of Charlotte.

Enjoy a fun and informative weekend exploring the endless possibilities of abstract art! This class will focus on developing your personal vision and expression through non-objective theory and techniques, to create successful works and explore alternative painting methods. Novice painters to the seasoned artists who wish to 'loosen up'.
Instructor: Award-winning expressionist painter, A. Grimsley. Andrea is represented by CFA. Her use of color and bold strokes sets her apart from other expressionist painters.

This workshop will discuss techniques, design and color as it applies to landscape painting with an alla prima (wet-on-wet) style. Chris is a fun and energetic instructor and will demonstrate and work one on one with students. A supply list will be provided.

Instructor: Award-winning artist and one of CFA's represented artists, creates beautiful landscape/cityscape works. He conducts workshops throughout the midwest along with a workshop last fall at CFA. His workshops are well attended and received.

PALETTE KNIFE PAINTING IN OIL
3-Day Workshop (Thurs - Sat)

Ages: Adults & very interested teens 16 +
A 3-day workshop in oils. Learn to take your oil painting to a new level using a variety of palette knives and tools to create a loose, textural composition. No brushes needed! All subject matter can be applied to this technique. Composition, color and value will be discussed. Workshop includes demonstration, student work time, individual instruction. Critiques available on last day of workshop. A supply list will be provided.

Instructor: Award-winning artist and owner of Charlotte Fine Art will be conducting this exciting, spontaneous workshop. Joni has been teaching classes and workshops to all age groups for 13 years. Purk started her painting career with private instruction, nationally recognized artists' workshops, and college course study.
