Oyster Pearls

Polymer clay earrings. Double layer: colorful oyster shell-inspired disks have clear beads placed on top to imitate pearls. Artist created and hand-fired. Disks are 1/2" wide.

Colorful, whimsical one-of-a-kind art to wear influenced by the 17th-century Japanese technique, Mokume-gane. Starting with hand mixed colors to build final palette the artist adds in detail. Always a bit funky sparked by the serendipitous results of the process.
