"Windows, or the suggestion of windows, are recurrent themes in many of my works. The Window represents the baby steps that began my initial forays into abstraction. Trained as a classical realist, the journey to abstraction has been a lifelong one. Somehow, the expression always seemed just out of reach. Yet, just like a window that's just out of reach, I knew there was more out there than what I could see...I just had to access it, somehow. Time locked inside during Covid 19 pandemic meant turning inward, finally. Bringing to view what as of yet, has not been seen."
